This year the American Planning Association's national conference is in Los Angeles from Saturday, April 14th to Tuesday, April 17th.  This is a great opportunity for SJSU students since the conference is on the West Coast. For more information about the conference and a list of sessions and events, please visit http://www.planning.org/conference/.

REGISTER BY FEB 16

Student registration fees are also a good deal;  if you register by Thursday, February 16th the conference fee is only $125, going up to $145 if you register by March 15th.

VOLUNTEER
AND SAVE $100

Students who volunteer for 8 hours at the conference receive $100 off their registration fee (see attached volunteer application).  Volunteer applications must be submitted directly to APA by Tuesday, February 14th.  For more information about the conference and a list of sessions and events, please visit http://www.planning.org/conference/.

CARPOOLING AND LODGING

A group of students from San Jose State's Urban Planning Coalition will be carpooling and sharing accommodations during the conference.  If you are interested in sharing accommodations with fellow SJSU students, please let me know by Saturday, February 25th at david.keyon@gmail.com.  Accommodations within a reasonable distance of the conference site will probably book up fast.  If you are interested in car pooling, or are willing to drive, please let me know by Saturday, March 24th.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to attend the APA national conference at a reduced rate.  It promises to be a good conference with lots of inspiring speakers and networking opportunities.
