The Urban Planning Coalition has an open position for Co-Speaker Series Coordinator.

The 2011-2012 Board has a wide range of experience in event planning, fundraising and leadership and looking for a Co-Speaker Series Coordinator to share this opportunity. The UPC Co-Speaker Series Coordinator helps to organize lectures, contact potential speakers and coordinate these events.

Responsibilities:

• Attending UPC meetings on weekends
• Organize Lectures
• Contact Potential Speakers
• Marketing events
• Work with Co- Speaker Series Coordinator and other Urban Planning members to organize lecture events for Spring 2012 
• Manage event/ lecture logistics
• Find a replacement for UPC Speaker Series Coordinator for Fall 2012

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is desirable to help to develop marketing tools (not required)
• Experience coordinating events/ lectures preferred (not required)
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Enthusiasm to join the UPC team
