Dr. Pastor is a fantastic speaker and one of the leading minds on regional planning, sustainability, and equity. He believes that now is the time for a new paradigm in transportation infrastructure, land use, and fairness to build better communities and save our economy and environment.

Dr. Pastor is the author of Regions That Work: How Cities and Suburbs Can Grow Together and This Could Be the Start of Something Big: How Social Movements for Regional Equity Are Reshaping Metropolitan America. He has been recognized as Civic Entrepreneur of the Year by the California Center for Regional Leadership and was a keynote speaker at the 2011 Rail~Volution Conference.

TransForm is a nonprofit organization that works to create world-class public transportation and walkable communities in the Bay Area and beyond. We build diverse coalitions, influence policy, and develop innovative programs to improve the lives of all people and protect the environment.
