Marco Arguelles

Marco is a second year graduate student in the Master of Planning Program at San Jose State University.  He is a native of both the Bay Area and the Denver Area having grown up in both South San Francisco, California and Broomfield, Colorado.  Marco received his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado-Boulder also majoring in urban planning.  At San Jose State, he is specializing in transportation and land-use and his master’s report will focus on strategies and policies the city of San Francisco can adopt to encourage the creation of public outdoor multi-purpose athletic fields above large structures.

As you can see from the picture, Marco is a huge basketball and sports fan.  His other interests include traveling, spending time with family and friends, and eating.  As social chair of the UPC his main goal is provide students the opportunity to create relationships with each other, alumni, and staff as well as creating memorable experiences for students while at San Jose State.
