Sean is a graduate student at San José State's Masters in Urban Planning Program. Originally from San José, he received his bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of California at Santa Barbara specializing in Geographic Information Systems and Cartography. He has been a professional cartographer for more than 8 years and is currently a Senior Cartographer for Maps.com. Additionally, Sean is a GIS/Planning Consultant for the Town of Woodside. He spends his free time riding and racing mountain bikes, brewing beers and ciders, and tending to his garden.

His interests in environmental and land use issues, coupled with his background in Geography and GIS brought him to Urban Planning. He enjoys learning about a city’s background and potential, and the vehicles that drive development over time.
