Sara Billing is a graduate student in the Urban & Regional Planning Department at San Jose State University. Born and raised in Berkeley, and currently living in Oakland, Sara loves the East Bay and taking walks or bike rides around the region.
Professionally, Sara has over 8 years of customer service experience, a BA in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University, interned with TransForm and the SFMTA, and has both long range and current planning experience with the City of Emeryville. Sara is currently working with youth in Berkeley, CA and is conducting research for her thesis on local energy policy in California. Some of her favorite volunteer projects include putting together Bike to Work Month teams for 3 years, and coordinating the UPC’s participation in PARK(ing) Day 2011.
