Laura Williams, Social Chair

Laura Williams is a Bay Area native who attended Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. She has earned her degree in Political Science from San Jose State University and is currently a graduate student enrolled in San Jose State’s Urban and Regional Planning Program. Laura’s primary academic interest is in community development and she is currently working on a thesis project evaluating NeighborWalk, a program that encourages community members to improve their health while evaluating areas for improvement within their community.

Her other interests and achievements include working as a counselor for Camping Unlimited  (a camp for disabled children and adults), coaching children’s gymnastics and participating in advanced cheer and gymnastics. Laura has a passion for eating and will never turn down a meal. She loves to chat over coffee, garden, create new recipes and take random, spontaneous road trips.
