Thanh is a third-year graduate student in San Jose State’s Masters in Urban Planning Program. Her interests are diverse and she is passionate about increasing pedestrian and bicycling activity in the community. Her thesis will explore the status of active transportation to school in Santa Clara County. Outside of urban planning and by a certain age, she plans to learn to swim better, tune up a bike, sew, travel to wonderful places and relearn a few foreign languages.
Thanh currently works for the City of Campbell in recreation and community services and has previously worked with the City of San Jose, Alta Planning + Design, the International Museum of Women and ABC Language Exchange. Her internships include the planning department for the City of San Jose, the Greenbelt Alliance in San Francisco and BMW, AG in Munich, Germany. Thanh received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in International Relations and German, with minors in Managerial Economics and French.
