Join the UPC in the next installment of this semester' Speaker Series:
San Jose’s Stormwater Permit Overview & Smart Growth Special Projects.

Tuesday, April 10th at 6:15pm to 07:15pm

Juan F. Borrelli works as an Environmental Services Specialist at the Watershed Protection- City of San Jose Environmental Services.

Event Overview
At this event he will discuss Provision C.3 of the City’s Stormwater Permit, which addresses all new development and redevelopment projects that trigger impervious surface thresholds. These projects are required to include site design, source control, and treatment measures to address pollutants in stormwater runoff and to prevent increases in runoff flow by using Low Impact Development (LID) techniques such as rainwater harvesting and reuse, infiltration, evapotranspiration, and biotreatment.  The public will also, learn about Smart Growth “Special Projects” (e.g., urban infill, high-density, and transit-oriented development) that can receive LID treatment reduction credits to use specific types of non-LID treatment to address their stormwater runoff.

Clark Hall - Fishbowl

Open to the public at no cost. $5 donation is suggested. Refreshments will be provided.
